George and Feno on WFAA News

Healing looks different for everyone. Sometimes it begins with progress you can see, and sometimes with a connection you do not expect.

At ManeGait, that is what unfolded between George and Feno.

After a massive stroke, George struggled not only physically but mentally. In search of a new purpose, he found ManeGait and joined as a volunteer, and was assigned to Feno as his Sidewalker. What started as a simple assignment quickly grew into a meaningful partnership built on trust, consistency, and encouragement.

After experiencing a traumatic brain injury, Feno came to ManeGait to rebuild strength and confidence. In the arena, he found more than physical progress. He found momentum, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose. Alongside him, George discovered how impactful simply showing up each week could be, and that this journey with Feno was shaping him too in a different but equally meaningful way.

Together, their journey reflects the heart of ManeGait, where connection fuels progress and small victories lead to lasting change.

We are grateful to WFAA and Sean Giggy for helping share their story and shine a light on the power of therapeutic horsemanship.
