Allen STEAM Center Restores Therapy Tool
Huge thanks to the incredible students at the STEAM Center!
We’re incredibly grateful to the STEAM Center students and staff for restoring one of ManeGait’s essential therapy tools — the astronaut board! This equipment helps improve balance and coordination for individuals with disabilities, veterans, and first responders.
When our original board began to wear out after years of use, the STEAM Center stepped in to help. Led by CTE teacher Graham Gadd, students designed and built a stronger, improved version using their maker space. They refined the bearings, added handles, and customized the foam for comfort and durability.
Thanks to their creativity and generosity, our riders can continue to benefit from this vital tool for years to come. We’re so thankful for this partnership and the lasting impact it will have on the ManeGait community.
