War Horse Author Visits ManeGaitOn the morning of July 18, 2012 Michael Morpurgo, the author of War Horse, came to ManeGait for a press event. He watched a lesson being given in the facility’s arena, read a chapter of his book to the riders and their families and did a book signing for everyone who attended. This event also had a news story done by Sandie Newton with CBS news at 4:00 that evening. Morpurgo is promoting the play War Horse that will be at Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Texas. ManeGait's 4th Annual Horse ShowOn Saturday, May 12, 2012 ManeGait hosted their 4th Annual All Purpose Horse Show presented by EmCare. Riders came to showcase their skills they learned over the year. Riders, their families, and volunteers all had huge smiles on their faces as they competed for ribbons and trophies. We appreciate everyone coming to show their support to our riders. Thank you to EmCare for being the title sponsor for this event.

Gala at the 'Gait 2011On Saturday, October 1st, ManeGait held its 4th annual Gala at the 'Gait. A wonderful time was had by all!
Ledeburs Host Party Stop for 2011 GalaOn Saturday, September 10th Christi and Roger Ledebur hosted a party
stop for the Gala. All of the guests brought a bottle of wine for the
Gala at the 'Gait auction. The event was a huge success! Rick's
Chophouse and Sauce on the Square provided a delicious dinner for all of
the individuals who attended. ManeGait provided a demonstration of a
therapeutic riding class. Thank you to Rick's Chophouse, Sauce on the
Square, Christi and Roger Ledebur, and all who attended!
Raphaels Host Party Stop for 2011 GalaOn Saturday, August 27th, Dr. Peter and Linda Raphael hosted a party stop at their home for ManeGait’s Gala at the ‘Gait. All of the attendees brought a bottle of wine that will be part of the auction. The guests had the opportunity to see a lesson demonstration by our rider, Kennedy. Thank you to the Raphael’s for hosting such a wonderful event!
Griddles at the 'GaitA delicious pancake breakfast, fun horse-themed obstacle course, and wildly popular pony rides were all part of the City of McKinney’s Bloomin' and Boomin' celebration o Saturday, June 25, 2011. Our Griddles at the ‘Gait Open House was a success, bringing in not only riders and volunteers, but members of the McKinneycommunity. Freckles was a good sport, giving many little kiddos a ride around, and our wonderful volunteers helped bring this event alive.
PATH Specialists from Japan Visit ManeGaitOn June 21st our ManeGait family has had the wonderful opportunity to host a few NARHA specialists from Japan who came to learn about our program, teaching methods, volunteer programs, competitions, and fundraising campaigns. It is an honor for ManeGait to be chosen as one of their study locations.
ManeGait's Annual Horse ShowSaturday, May 7th ManeGait hosted the 2011 Annual Horse Show. The Horse Show is a chance for our riders to show their friends and family what they have learned during the year. 20 different divisions of riders, judged in trail and equitation classes, demonstrated their equestrian skills, along with improvements in confidence and self-esteem. Thank you to all of our families and volunteers that made the Horse Show a success, and congratulations to all of our amazing riders!
